  • Lessons learned about studying

Posted by MedRookie on January 3, 2016 at 1:07 pm

When I first started I went to parties, out at night with friends and was probably getting less than 5 hours sleep a day. I wasn’t eating properly and couldn’t understand why I couldn’t concentrate. Never affected me in university so why would it in med school? Not a great start for a future MD! Now I eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, get at least 8 hours of sleep and spend more time studying during the day and evening. I am better able to retain information and still have a social life of sorts. What have you or are you learning about life in med school?
